They are ready, willing and able to help create an inclusive and effective labour market. The Canadian Association for Community Living’s Ready, Willing and Able initiative, in partnership with the Canadian Autism Spectrum Disorders Alliance (CASDA), will increase labour force participation of people with developmental disabilities, focusing on people with intellectual disabilities and autistic people, thereby advancing economic productivity and social inclusion in Canada.

Autism Ontario (formerly Autism Society Ontario) is the leading source of information and referral on autism and one of the largest collective voices representing the autism community. Members are connected through a volunteer network of Chapters throughout the Province of Ontario.

ConnectABILITY is a virtual community focused on lifelong learning and support for children, youth, adults and seniors with intellectual disabilities and their families, caregivers and support networks. Users are able to connect, support each other, share, research, and advocate via easy-to-use web tools.

REDPATH LOGO 2014

The Redpath Centre addresses the social and emotional needs of children, adolescents and adults with Asperger Syndrome and mental health concerns through best practices, cross-sector collaboration, education and research. Experienced clinicians bring their knowledge of Asperger Syndrome and related conditions to their work. The mission of the iHub is to facilitate collaboration amongst educators, students, researchers, entrepreneurs and educational technology companies to support the development of innovative educational tools and resources that enhance 21st century teaching and learning.  Housed inside 2,100 square feet at the DSBN Academy in St. Catharines, the collaborative atmosphere of the iHub promotes discussion, idea sharing and creativity amongst the education community and EdTech entrepreneurs. iHub operates in partnership with the District School Board of Niagara (DSBN) and Brock University. Powered by Innovate Niagara, the iHub is the first educational technology incubator in North America to be located inside a K–12 school facility.

Brock U Centre for Digital Humanities

IASC is a multi-disciplinary program in which students take a small number of required core courses. Beyond this core students are free to follow different streams. The IASC program is eager to support individual students in developing their interests in concept art, 3D modeling, narrative for games, game design, level design, interface design, cinematics, game criticism, and media production management.

What’s This Games was founded in 2012 by a trio of friends from Toronto, Canada. This small independent team focuses on the unique experiences the game medium can deliver, striving to make games full of joy, art and depth. With a couple of game jams under their belt (Auto Correct Text Adventure and Wheat Wars: Strategic Chess Defense), they are currently working on their first commercial title, a rhythm game that allows you to create the world and music as you play.

The McMaster Game Development Association (MacGDA) is a student run development interested in student designated game research and design. MacGDA also holds various events for all of Hamilton such as workshops, networking events, lecture talks and competitions. As an open group, MacGDA will continually to innovate and create new projects and designs, with the help of individuals from McMaster University, while also engaging and providing opportunities to everyone across the Hamilton region.
